A motion was made by Mark Sheid to accept the 2012 Budget as presented in the Nov. 15, 2010 mailing. Renee Layshock 2nd the motion.

Andy Anderson- Does the budget have to be approved as mailed out or can changes be made at this meeting?
Answer – Mike Frye the bylaws require approval or disapproval as mailed.
Q. Steve Bishop – What is the line item for refunds given to residents at 3,125? A-Mike Sheid – Article 4B.2. a. A 50% rebate will be provided by the MBCA to any member 65 years or older if that member: i) makes a written request within the year the rebate is being sought; ii) was a member prior to January 1, 2009; and iii) provides proof that they paid the tax bill for the year they are seeking the rebate.
Q. Andy Anderson- Why is there 15K for beach maintenance on the Tax Budget and the General Budget?. A. Kate Holmes-last year the budgets were Tax Benefit $15k and General Budget $6K. This year we are paying an additional $10K out of the general fund for the MBCA contribution to the National Fish & and Wild Life grant.
Q. Bob Ferrier- Why only $250 for legal fees? A- Mike Frye, The budget last year was $250 and we didn’t use it. The board made a commitment about getting approval for lawyer expenses.
Q. Andy Anderson- How much is the limit the Board can approve with out a meeting vote? A. Kate Holmes - $2,000. If we need to spend more, a vote at the meeting is required.
Q. Allison Fox- Why did the insurance go from $4,000 last year to$6,600 this year? A. -Kate Holmes – a spot audit was done by the insurance company. They originally thought we had 2 beaches versus 4. In June 2012 we will be rebidding insurance cost.
Q. Brian Oates- We don’t have to wait til June to get new bids. We can request a refund if we pick a different company. Brian provided a name of another vendor to MIKE Frye. Mike will follow up on getting quotes.
The motion to approve the budget was voted on and approved by all members present.
Other business
Don wood asked if we could put mouse traps in the clubhouse and the answer was yes. Karl N. asked about the road resurfacing, and Brian Oates said he will call to find out if we are on the list.
